Anonym is a premium lifestyle store located in Hyderabad city, housing ready to wear, artisanal clothing and accessories. The store showcases clothing and accessory brands of unconventional quality and artistic merit from across the country. A combination of oxide and yellow Jaisalmer flooring was chosen to set the groundwork for the store. Yellow is a quintessential Indian color featuring predominantly in Indian markets in the form of marigolds, turmeric, and mangoes and also symbolizes the auspicious. The walls were finished in rough plaster with an earthy, woody effect while the ceiling features metallic, industrial lighting accents. Birch ply was used in the making of display units for small accessories and small moveable furniture for resting aching feet. Fixed metallic displays for the display of clothes are placed artistically to evoke a craft bazaar experience rather than the geometricity of a typical shop layout. The store space takes inspiration from the standard warehouse design accommodating a large, central display area for clothes in addition to a small office, a billing counter and three large windows for display. The whole space was conceptualised to create a muted background for the colourful clothes on display.
